I attended Nabua’s annual boat race. Some of their boats, which were home made, slowly sank mid-race because the water seeped in. I wondered how Nabua’s spaceship would fare. So one evening, we filmed it levitating. We found out that, unlike contemporary, perfectly manufactured vehicles, this ship that has all the marks of its builders engrained in its texture, could not soar higher than 4 meters. It slowly floated up in the air, hovered for a moment, then descended to the ground.
This portrait of a never-really-taking-off spaceship is presented as a loop.
