Petch can play guitar better than anyone else in Nabua. He is a young man whose father helped build a spaceship. One evening on the river bank, Petch, with a bottle of beer, sang with our film crew. At one point he started to sing a song about Nabua. He composed it for a 7 August event where the former members of Communist Party of Thailand gather to commemorate the first shoot-out in the field 43 years ago. I incorporate his song with an image of his friend, Kamgiang, whose grandfather was killed by the soldiers in the field not far from his home.
